Toy Story Review

I love Toy Story, I really really do! It's by far the best animation film series! However the first one is my least favourite. Controversial I know.

*(Apparently) "Toy Story was a massive turning point in film animation, the animations, so detailed and precise." (Apparently) "Very different to the previous animation movies."*

Toy Story has the best voice actors (I think that's the word) ever, (Tom Hanks/Woody, Tim Allen/Buzz Lightyear) two of my favourite actors! And their voices coming out of Buzz and Woody makes everything seem so totally great!!

Although it is a children's movie Toy Story is one for everyone (even my granddad likes it and he doesn't like many movies!). But, I'll let you into a secret I find this Toy Story so blooming creepy! Next door to the Andy's (woody and buzz's owner) house is Sid, who out of pleasure likes making old (or new!) toys into weird creepy toys, they're actually quite scary! Haha! But Toy Story really is a family film! There's an Baby Born head on an old electronic spider's legs...  c r e e p y!

Prehaps the greatest thing about Toy Story is that all the movies have kept up the original greatness from the first one (unlike Shrek, Madagascar etc). Well done Toy Story crew!

I can't believe it's nearly bloody May! Mental! The asterisk (*) is there as the is a quote and not my opinion, as I don't really know what animation was like pre Toy Story. I wasn't alive, and I haven't really watched old animation movies (other than the all princess movies of course!). Stay tuned(!) for Toy Story 3 review, and others. I'm trying to review ones I have seen lots of times before, just because I have no time what so ever! I had 7 bloody exams last week. AND an English assessment. I. Hate. School.

Up Review

Ah, this movie! So cute, happy, humorous, adorable yet so so terribly sad. A 78 man's life long dream has come true, due to the fact he lifts his house off the ground with millions of blues, with 8 year old stowaway, Russell. The stowaway is awfully annoying, and desperate to get his scout badge of 'Helping the Elderly' but is really more of a hindrance than a help!

Up is a great family movie, warming and perfect. But it also has some really quite important messages, dealing with damaging dreams, the loss of someone very close to you, also with dreams that don't always come true the way you'd like them to or at all. It's a great movie for children!

Pixar kept coming out with crackers of movies, storylines and picture. WALL-E and How To Train Your Dragon, and of course the legendary Toy Story series. Up is no exception still such a great storyline and movie all around. I loved it. It's action packed, fast paced and beautiful! - A real family treasure!

The King's Speech Review

I have just watched this on Channel 4, and to be perfectly honest, I found it quite boring. Now, I don't know whether that is because I'm a 14 year old with not a lot of love for the Royal Family, nor the history of it. I do study history and really enjoy it, however the history of recent Royal Family is not of much interest to me. But I think if you have a interest in the Royal Family and quite factual movie, almost documentary-ish, then this movie is brilliant for you. As I'm not it really wasn't that great, to me!

Although I must say the acting from everybody is so good and Colin Firth definitely deserved the Oscar he won. Though I do believe that Geoffrey Rush should have won the Oscar of Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role, but at least he got nominated. I don't believe that the movie should had won Best Motion Picture of the Year. Sorry King's Speech crew!

Sorry for such a crappy review, but I don't really know what to say about it! As it is literally about some Prince who is arrogant trying to learn how to speak, via a therapist. Not my cuppa-tea!

Fight Club Review

Fight Club
IMDb Page
Rank 10 as of January 2013)
Age Rating 18
Year 1999
Utterly unbelievable. It's basic story line is about two guys (Edward Norton and Brad Pitt) who decide to set up a club, for fighting (obviously!). This is the IMDb description of the movie, it might be a bit more helpful; An insomniac office worker looking for a way to change his life crosses paths with a devil-may-care soap maker and they form an underground fight club that evolves into something much, much more... -IMDb

I didn't realise that FIGHT CLUB was actually a book. I haven't read it. So I asked my cousin who has both, seen the film and read the book. He said that it book and "the film are equally as great. And that they couldn't have made it the movie any better, so the adaption was perfect, unlike a lot of movies!" - So the screenplay adaption is obviously alright! - Believe me he knows what he is talking about! He is studying Film at University, so he (I hope!) knows what he is talking about!

I don't really know what to say about it without either giving away the whole movie, which I really don't want to do, or what to say about it that doesn't make it sound shit. It's difficult! Just bloody watch it!

It seems to have all the features of a crap movie, the narrative voice is Edward Norton, one of the main characters. I think narrators usually sound a bit cheesy and not so good, you know, like them 'chic-flicks' where you have the girl say her thoughts that are in her head because the acting is to bad to get what they are thinking across, through acting, yet it makes it work, amazingly. Plus the acting is not bad! It has a big plot twist in the end quarter, which again most crap movies seem to have but no. Oh no. This is no crap movie, with a crappy big plot twist at the end this is mind-bogglingly great. With an unbelievable ending and all!

Your mind will be blown.

How much can you know about yourself if you've never been in a fight?
