Finding Nemo Review

Finding Nemo

Ahh! This brought back so many childhood memories!!

It is about a fish named Nemo the small clown fish with a lucky fin gets captured by a snorkeler and taken to Sydney. His father sets out on an epic journey, travelling with Dory the forgetfully, adorable Blue Tang fish to find his son, Nemo.

It's such a cute film, and its perfect really!! It's got a bit of comedy factors in it as well as tugging on the heartstrings!! It's a perfect Sunday afternoon family movie, or one to chuck on during the day if you have younger children.

It won a Oscar for best animated feature in 2004! As well as winning other awards, and being nominated for some. Click here to see.

The Dark Knight Rises Review

The Dark Knight Rises

What an amazing ending to an amazing trilogy of movies! They couldn't have done it better, it brought me to tears, kept me of the edge of my sweet in true Batman Style!!

There are many things that made this movie great, Bruce Wayne's story carried on throughout the movie, and they still focused on the relationship between him and Alfred, and moreover their relationship when Bruce threatens to become Batman again. Later in the film, when it is finishing, it shows Alfred crying and the Wayne's graves sobbing, "I'm so sorry. I failed you. You trusted me, and I failed you." The cast in The Dark Knight Rises is first class. There is still, of course, Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Michael Cain, but we have our newbies! Anne Hathaway plays Selina Kyle, she's crafty and clever, and is at first portrayed as bad and evil but then, during the movie you see the real, good, side to her.

The cast stays pretty much the same, a part from our to new 'baddies'(villains) Bane and Miranda. Bane is played by Tom Hardy whom makes you almighty terrified of him. you first meet Bane in the opening scene and that is the point where you know that he is trouble. You see him as a powerful and clever mind, with lots of contacts, and awful plans of terrorist  catastrophe for the City of Gotham. Miranda raised in 'hell on Earth' is sent to Gotham to destroy it, but undercover, where Wayne Enterprises gives her the tools to build a nuclear bomb. You don't know that she is a part of the plan, nor that Bane is her helper and that they are working together, so it comes as a great shock at the end of the movie!

We have to say a Massive thank you to Christopher Nolan for directing such great movies! I'm unsure if anyone will be able to live up to this version of Batman  in the future, they simply were amazing!!

The Dark Knight Review

The Dark Knight

Year 2008

The Dark Knight completely deserves it's amazing 7th place in the Top 250. It is the best Batman film out of the trilogy (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight + The Dark Knight Rises) simply because of how gripping, tense and heart-in-mouth throughout the entirety of the movie. Boredom from watching this movie is an impossibility. The movie has so much going on it I barely dared to blink, you would feel like you missed something!

Christian Bale plays our hidden hero with such cool, calm, collectability to make the whole movie seem so real and portraying the too different characters he has to play with such acting the different characters of Bruce Wayne and The Batman.

Could there be a man more suited to play the Joker? Heath Ledger plays the Joker in such a chilling way, he captures the Joker for everything he is, a scary, psychotic, evil demon, everyone's worst nightmares specially the people of Gotham. He's such a scary character and has chilling lines. He often said before murdering someone, or during torching them 'Why so serious?' as well as 'Want to know how I got these scars?', making up a different story each time, showing how psychotic the Joker is, creepy huh?!

The movie has won two well deserved Oscars for:
Best Achievement in Sound Editing to Richard King and the totally utterly deserved, Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role to none other than Heath Ledger, completely well deserved!! As well as being nominated for 6 other Oscars, Best Achievement in Art Direction to Nathan Crowley (art director) and to Peter Lando (set decorator) Best Achievement in Cinematography to Wally Pfister, Best Achievement in Film Editing to Lee Smith, Best Achievement in Makeup to John Caglione Jr., also to Conor O'Sullivan, Best Achievement in Sound Mixing to Lora Hirschberg, to Gary Rizzo, and lastly to Ed Novick and last but most certainly not least, Best Achievement in Visual Effects to Nick Davis,to Chris Corbould, to Timothy Webber and to Paul J. Franklin. For more of the awards, click here.

The movie well deserves the awards it got and will be one of the greatest movies in the 21st century.
